JSU

Jackson State University (JSU) is a public Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Jackson, Mississippi. Founded in 1877 as Natchez Seminary, it later moved to Jackson and eventually became Jackson State University in 1974. Today, JSU describes itself as a comprehensive urban research university offering bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral programs.
